Maryland Shakespeare Festival has announced its 2013 Good Will Tour of Twelfth Night, MSF's signature summer event, providing an evening of entertainment for the whole family with a fully staged production. The professional acting company will present this William Shakespeare comedy under the stars at Goucher College in Towson as well as at the Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre in Annapolis.
MSF is known throughout the region for its unique aesthetic, using Shakespeare's original practices to engage the audience and explore the text in a way that few other theater companies deliver. One highlight of the annual Good Will Tour is the tradition of sharing Shakespeare's words outdoors, as the plays were originally presented.
At Goucher College, Twelfth Night will be presented on the Winslow Great Lawn, so families are free to pack a picnic and bring a blanket. Performances will be held from July 5 to 14 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 8 p.m. General admission is $22, with discounts available for seniors, students, members of the military, and groups. The production will be at the Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre for three nights only, July 8–10, at 8:30 p.m. All tickets for performances in Annapolis are $15. Tickets for these shows are available at www.summergarden.com.
